Hey there. I am not really into the super bowl. However, my cousin's best friend, Tank, starts for the Giants. So I am pulling for Tank and the Giants. Just thought you would want to know. My cousin will be there and I think that is really cool. M
I am surprised how many Cowboy fans are rooting for the Giants. Most say that they aren't so much rooting for Giants, but that they are cheering against the Pats.
For me, I just can't bring myself to cheer for NY teams--especially the Yankees and Giants.
John, That makes sense. I hear where you are coming from.
Two things are keeping me from cheering for the Giants: 1) Eli--the stunt he pulled at the draft has marked him for life. That was selfish and unethical. 2) The Giants play in NY which means they are associated with the Yankees.
Though I am cheering against the Giants, I'm not pulling hard for the Pats. I will say this--it would be nice to tell my kids and grandkids what it was like watching a team go 19-0. It will be years until this is done again.
I can not get excited about this game. Honestly, most of the professional sports have lost their luster because of how the people playing them have acted over the last few years. I know it is bad that the actions of a few people cast a negative light on everyone but it does affect how I feel about professional sports.
I do agree that it will probably be years before a team can go 19-0. If the Pats do win, it will be an accomplishment.
I don't care who wins as long as the Patriots lose... so I guess I want the Giants to win.
I feel the same way about the Pats as I do Duke (although coach K is a class act) and how I felt about the Lakers in the Kobe/Shaq days - it was a beautiful break-up!

It would be even better if those scores were reversed but I think you may be right!

I see my pulling for the Giants the same way as pulling for other Big 12 teams in bowl games.
I can't stand the Giants (see eagles and redskins here too) but I am pulling for the NFC East.
The fact they might beat the Pat's is just icing.

I'm hoping for a 0-0 tie. I'm taking the under in whether I will watch it for 20 minutes.
Patriots 31
Giants 28
But it won't be as close as the score indicates.
Well, New York decided they wanted it more. It was a really good game and I am glad that the Patriots did not win!
i am predicting...
giants 17
pats 14
go ahead and call vegas...this is what my life has come to.
